It’s a rare and heartbreaking moment when a man says yes to you.
But in this case, the man didn’t just say yes.
It was a yes.
In fact, this man was able to have an IVI pregnancy after a man with the same name had one.
Dr. Robert Fussell, who is the lead on this case at the fertility centre in Glasgow, Scotland, says it is rare to have a woman’s life take a turn for the worse after having an IVFs first and only child.
Dr. Fussel explains: ‘There is no way to know how long this pregnancy will last, but a very high percentage of women will have a termination after a couple of months.’
In other words, the chance of a woman having a second baby is likely to be high.
Dr Fussels team has worked with a woman named Rachel who had had two IVFs and a third after her first pregnancy, but both were terminated.
They were also both in the process of trying to conceive a third child.
But then, when Rachel got pregnant again, her ovaries started to shut down and her uterus began to contract.
She became pregnant again and it was very possible that her fertility was at an end.
It wasn’t until she was 22 months pregnant that the ovaries were able to continue producing eggs, which were fertilized and implanted into Rachel’s uterus.
Dr Fuservs team is now working with the woman’s family to get her tested and to see if there is any chance of her having a third baby.
So far, it appears that they have not come up with any negative findings, but it is unclear if this could be permanent or just a temporary drop off in the pregnancy rate.
Dr Rachel says she feels lucky that her husband has accepted the chance to be a father.
She says: ‘I feel blessed.
I was a bit of a disappointment with my first pregnancy and I was not prepared for this, but I am glad that he’s had the chance.’
We’ve had some ups and downs in our marriage but we’ve worked really hard and have always been supportive.’
I’ve been very proud to have this baby.
I know that my husband will have many memories with me, especially with his son, but most of all, I’m so grateful for what he’s done for me.’
