SAN ANTONIO — A 31-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday morning after a female cat shot and killed him outside a convenience store in the town of West Alamo, authorities said.
The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The cat was not identified.
The town is in rural northwest Texas.
The West Alamos city manager, Sgt. Dave Staley, said the man had a history of drug addiction and was on probation.
He said it was unclear if the woman had a restraining order against the man.
The dog was taken into protective custody by the Animal Control Department.
The woman, who lives in nearby La Grange, was not hurt.
There were no other injuries reported.
